Έχοντας δεκάδες εκπληκτικές κιθάρες στην συλλογή του, από το 1986 ο Slash χρησιμοποιεί μια πολύ συγκεκριμένη Les Paul για τις ηχογραφήσεις του. Ο Alnico II Pro Slash σχεδιάστηκε για να δώσει στις υπόλοιπες Les Paul του – αυτές που ο ίδιος ονομάζει “live guitars” – τον ακριβή τόνο του αγαπημένου του οργάνου. Για την κατασκευή του χρησιμοποιήθηκαν Alnico II μαγνήτες όπως και στον APH-1 Alnico II Pro, προσφέροντας αυτό το “ζεστό”, μεσαίου output τόνο, όμως στο μοντέλο του Slash έχει δοθεί περισσότερο boost.
