Το DTP 640 REX είναι ένα μικρόφωνο απαράμιλλης αποδοτικότητας και σχεδιαστικής καινοτομίας, επειδή διαθέτει 2 κάψες: 1 δυναμική και 1 πυκνωτική.Η δυναμική κάψα εξασφαλίζει την ακριβή αναπαραγωγή του ήχου ενώ, η πυκνωτική κάψα αναπαράγει με ακρίβεια τις χαμηλές συχνότητες που παράγουν τα τύμπανα.
Το εκπληκτικό στοιχείο του μικροφώνου είναι η ξεχωριστή έξοδος σήματος για κάθε κάψα. Δηλαδή, μπορεί να ρυθμιστούν ξεχωριστά και οι 2 κάψες και κατά ένταση και κατά κατεύθυνση σήματος.
